The first phase of an extensive renovation project for the Fine Arts Center began at the close of this school year.

An architect's rendering of the front of the Fine Arts Center once outside remodeling is complete.Plans for subsequent phases call for a new acoustical ceiling and new ceiling lighting, paint and carpet for the entire building; new graphics and directional signage; new exterior paint; an enlarged FAC Gallery; box office and kitchenette renovation (across from the gallery); new seating areas and refurbishing of current bench seating; display areas that highlight the programs housed in the FAC (music; communication arts; forensics; theater); an outdoor stage; and landscaping around the building.
The hope for this project is especially to showcase the fine arts for which the FAC is named – helping faculty bring attention to the current strengths of their programs, creating a space that encourages participation in and interaction with the fine arts, enhancing the facilities offerings for the wider Newton/North Newton community and giving both current and prospective students pride in Bethel's fine arts facilities and programs.
