Alumni Weekend came to a close June 8 with a Sunday morning chapel service that featured an alumni choir under the direction of Professor Emeritus Marles Preheim ’55, Scripture reading, congregational singing and the annual Heritage Roll of Honor memorial service.

Heritage Roll of Honor members have provided for Bethel’s future by remembering the college in their estate plans or through deferred gifts. Each year, Bethel recognizes individuals who have died, inviting family members to light a candle in their memory.

This year’s service honored 17 people who passed away between April 2013 and May 2014. These donors’ gifts created scholarships, endowed professorships, assisted academic departments, aided in facility enhancements and contributed to the Bethel Fund.

Bethel College is deeply grateful for the generosity of those who have chosen to remember the college in this way.
