A gift from an alumna and spouse will go to create an endowed chair within Bethel’s Department of Business.

Pam Tieszen, vice president for institutional advancement, announced the $2 million estate gift Sept. 27, that will establish the Douglas C. and Jane M. Seibel Endowed Chair in Accountancy. Jane Seibel is a Bethel graduate.

“Doug and Jane’s gift is transformational for Bethel College,” Tieszen said. “Doug and Jane’s interest in establishing an accounting chair firmly establishes their legacy at Bethel in a meaningful way.

“Jane’s student experiences shaped who she became and ultimately her life’s vocation. Jane also maintains a scholarship for business students in her name.

“Doug and Jane’s gifts will continue to give back to Bethel, and we gratefully acknowledge their legacy and generosity.”
